The interaction platform brings together equipment dedicated to research on cognitics and the study of living organisms. The various studies carried out are concentrated on biological studies at the interface of physics (bioelectromagnetism) and electronics (bioelectronics) as well as a part dedicated to research activities on human factors and the use of technologies. All of the platform’s equipment and human resources are made available to the IMS Bordeaux laboratory teams, whether for researchers or students.

Living
The IMS laboratory’s Bio-platform focuses on investigating biological phenomena that lie at the intersection of physics (specifically bioelectromagnetism) and electronics (bioelectronics). Researchers from Bordeaux INP, the University of Bordeaux, as well as other national universities, are granted access to its equipment. Additionally, local students and PhD candidates are also given the opportunity to utilize the Bio-platform’s resources.
Cognitics
The “Béthanie” technology platform serves as a specialized tool for human factor research and technology use activities. It is situated in the ENSC and serves various purposes that are both convergent and complementary in nature. These include providing courses for engineering students and professionals seeking continuous education, conducting upstream research with academic and industrial objectives (Thales, HEAL, ERSYA, AKIANI, Iuserlab, etc.), as well as promoting applied research and valorization through the Chaire STAH.
From a scientific perspective, the platform’s primary objectives are to facilitate the implementation of demonstrators that aid in understanding and convincing, as well as to integrate the user into the center of system design to ensure usability and acceptability.
