Bordeaux INP, one of the three supervisory institutions of the IMS laboratory, welcomed its new management team this summer, led by Guillaume Ferré.
This appointment follows a vote by the institution’s Board of Directors, held on June 27, 2025, which proposed his nomination to the Minister in charge of Higher Education and Research.
Guillaume Ferré is a Professor in digital communications at Bordeaux INP – ENSEIRB-MATMECA and a member of the Signal & Image Processing group at the IMS laboratory.
His research focuses notably on signal processing and the digital enhancement for wideband power amplifiers and time interleaved analog to digital converters.
From 2016 until this year, he served as Vice-Chair of the IMS laboratory’s Scientific Council.
For his term as head of Bordeaux INP, he will be supported by two Professors: Marguerite Dols, Vice-President in charge of Education, and Sylvie Renaud, Vice-President in charge of Research and Technology Transfer, who is also affiliated with the IMS laboratory herself (Bioelectronics group).
Their project, Innover et réussir ensemble (“Innovate and Succeed Together”), aims to:
- strengthen the appeal of the institution’s academic programs,
- boost momentum in research and innovation activities,
- promote cohesion and quality of life at work,
- and strengthen partnerships with the socio-economic ecosystem.
Wishing them every success in their new roles!
