Anne Zouggar is an Associate Professor at the University of Bordeaux (France) and a researcher at IMS Lab, research team: Production Engineering. A polytechnic engineer, she holds a PhD in production/logistics and an HDR qualification to lead research. Her work focuses on Lean implementation models development in industry, particularly in the automotive and aeronautics sectors. She is involved in national research action of GDR (Axis: Digital Transformations for SMEs) including research group from Lyon, Tarbe, Savoie, Bordeaux and research collaborations with colleagues from University of Aix Marseille and University of Lille. Her international collaborations include the University of New Haven (USA), University South Eastern USN (Norway), Sheffield University (UK), Polytecnico Di Milano (Italy) and the University of Galway (Ireland). A frequent guest speaker, she has presented her research developments at various events, including research and learning innovations at ESCE Paris, Forum Health Bordeaux, Digital Lean Amiens, ASOS New Haven (USA), Napoli Federico II (Italy), USN (Norway) and Key international conferences IFIP/APMS, IFAC/MIM and ENLIGHT.

Anne Zouggar has supervised several doctoral theses, contributed to European projects, and co-authored over 40 publications in international conferences, book chapter and international journals. She previously led the LeanHealthcare working group in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine, facilitating knowledge transfer from Lean Aeronautics to healthcare. Research transfer actions from research to learning have been developed with various industrial partners: Safran, Dassault, Thales, Stellantis and Faurécia. Since 2023, she is the international co-leader of the research SIG (special interest group) Lean Thinking and Practices within the IFIP/WG 5.7 scientific community, organizing quarterly scientific webinars and discussions on Lean production research advances.
