Christian GERMAIN est Professeur d’Informatique à Bordeaux Sciences Agro, école d’ingénieurs en agronomie. Il y enseigne les technologies de l’information et leur application à l’agriculture et à l’environnement. Il est chercheur en analyse d’image au laboratoire IMS, avec des applications variées en télédétection et en imagerie agricole embarquée. Auteur de plus de 200 articles et communications scientifiques, il participe à de nombreux projets collaboratifs avec des entreprises de toutes tailles, à l’échelon régional, national ou européen. Christian Germain est co-titulaire de la chaire d’entreprises « AgroTIC » qui regroupe 29 entreprises mécènes et vise à promouvoir les usages des outils numériques pour l’agriculture et il est le responsable scientifique du DigiLab, plateforme ouverte d’expérimentation d’outils numériques pour la viti-vini culture.

Christian GERMAIN is Professor of Computer Science at Bordeaux Sciences Agro, an engineering school in agronomy. He is also the scientific coordinator of the DigiLab, open platform for experimenting digital solution for vineyards and winemaking.
