Researcher at the IMS Laboratory, University of Bordeaux / CNRS
Camille Leroux is an Associate Professor at Bordeaux INP – ENSEIRB-MATMECA, where he teaches in the Electronic Engineering Department and in the Embedded Electronic Systems (Systèmes Électroniques Embarqués) programme.
His research activities are carried out at the IMS Laboratory (Laboratoire de l’Intégration du Matériau au Système), where he works on the design and implementation of heterogeneous embedded computing systems. His research focuses on the efficient execution of signal-processing and data-processing applications on embedded architectures, combining programmable processors, hardware accelerators and dedicated communication mechanisms.
His current research interests include embedded systems, heterogeneous architectures, digital signal processing, hardware/software co-design, RISC-V processors, FPGA-based systems and dataflow computing. A particular focus is placed on exploring architectures and programming models that can provide efficient and flexible implementations of complex signal-processing applications, with attention to performance, energy efficiency and hardware/software trade-offs.
His work involves both software and hardware aspects, from high-level application modelling and dataflow representations to processor architectures, FPGA implementations and hardware accelerators. He is also interested in open-source tools and experimental platforms for the design-space exploration and validation of heterogeneous embedded systems.
