The IMS laboratory is looking for a motivated PhD candidate to work on the development of new encapsulation solutions with low environmental impact.

The following thesis is part of the BioFlexPV project (PEPR TASE). It aims at developing novel efficient encapsulation solutions from bio-based resources to reduce the environmental impact of the different photovoltaic technologies.

Thesis title: « Biosourced encapsulation solutions for organic photovoltaic cells and modules »

  • Salary: approx. 1780€ to 1870€ net/month 
  • Location: IMS laboratory, ENSMAC site, Bordeaux, France
  • Start date: October / November 2025
  • Duration: 3 years


The candidate should be a materials scientist, chemist and / or electrical engineer holding a master’s degree. They need to be an experimentalist ready to develop new characterization tools and to explore various fabrication and characterization techniques.

A good English level is also expected.
