The IMS laboratory is looking for a motivated candidate interested in wireless communications to work on the design of a novel radio transmitter/receiver unit using a new waveform dedicated to semantic communications.
This work aims to lay a theoretical, algorithmic, and hardware design foundation to unleash the potential of future natively unified AI, 6G systems, and beyond. It will be co-supervised by CEA-Leti under the frame of the European 6G-DISAC project.

- Salary: from 1900€ net/month (PhD, engineer) or from 2200€ net/month (postdoc), can be negotiated based on experience
- Location: IMS laboratory, Bordeaux, France
- Start date: September 1st, 2025
- Duration: 3 years for a PhD, or a renewable one-year contract for an engineer or postdoc position
The candidate must hold a Master’s or engineering school’s degree in electronics / telecommunications / signal processing.
Fluent English is also expected.
