Prof. (Dr.) YAKHMI Jatinder Vir is a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from Mumbai University and has specialized in interdisciplinary areas of soft matter, such as Molecular Magnets, Self-assembly, Polymers, Nano-phase materials, Surfactants, and Liquid Crystals. Dr. Yakhmi established a program on the use of molecular materials for fabrication of Sensors, Bio-sensors, and Molecular Electronic Devices at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC, Mumbai), where he was, at the time of his formal retirement in 2010, Associate Director of Physics Group and Head, Technical Physics and Prototype Engineering Division. He was also Adviser to the Chairman of Indian Atomic Energy Commission. He has published 380 papers in International journals and 60 Review articles in Journals/Books, and has a Google Scholar h-Index of 41. Besides, he has delivered 375 Invited Lectures in reputed labs or International Conferences in USA, Europe, Japan, China, Russia, S.Korea, Israel, India, etc.
